Description
FRANCE - FRANCE Louis XVIII (1814–1824). 5 centimes, minted at Antwerp, bearing the King’s numeral 1814 V, Antwerp (Arsenal mint). Obverse: ANVERS. The cipher of Louis XVIII within a crown formed of two branches; below, (date) and (variant) beneath the knot. Reverse: MONNAIE OBSIDIONALE. Centre: 5 / CENT. G.130c b) – Colaert 17a; Copper – 30 mm – 6 h NGC AU 58 BN (2788705-190). Bears a ‘V’ for Vande Goor and a large central dot on the reverse. Retains some of its original red colour. Superb.
