Louis XVIII (1814–1824). 5-franc coin for the Duchy of Bouillon, Philippe d’Auvergne, by Ch. Würden, Special Strike (SP) 1815, Brussels (Würden).
Obverse: PHILIPPE D’AUVERGNE. Bust in uniform facing left of Philippe d’Auvergne, with the signature CH. WERDUN below. F. (sic!).
Reverse: SOVEREIGN DUKE OF BOUILLON. Within a wreath formed of two laurel branches, a shield surmounted by a ducal crown with a cap; below: (lily) (date) (mint).

Special Strike (SP). With an intaglio edge: *** DOMINE SALVVM FAC DVCEM. With a proof-like finish, featuring satin-finished relief and mirror-like edges. Superb in Proof condition.
Bearing the ‘A’ mint mark for Paris; in reality, it was struck at Charles Würden’s workshops in Brussels, which are signed ‘Ch. Werdun’!
