Louis XVIII (1814–1824). 5-franc coin, the Duke of Angoulême’s visit to the La Rochelle Mint, by N. Tiolier, Special Strike (SP) 1817, Paris.
Obverse: GALLIS SIDUS AMICUM. On two crossed anchors, a crowned oval shield of France, surrounded by the collars of the Order of Saint Michael and the Order of the Holy Spirit, and flanked by two banners of France; signed N. Tiolier.
Reverse: In the field: H.R.H. / MGR THE DUKE / OF ANGOULÊME / GRAND AMITAL OF FRANCE / VISITS THE MINT / OF LA ROCHELLE / ON 6 NOVEMBER / 1817.
