FRANCE - FRANCE Charles X (1824–1830). 5-franc coin, the Duke of Bordeaux’s visit to the Paris Mint, by N. Tiolier, Special Strike (SP) 1828, Paris. Obverse: HENRI CHARLES FERDINAND MARIE DIEUDONNÉ D’ARTOIS. A shield bearing the crowned arms of France, set upon a wreath formed of a branch of lilies and a branch of olive. Reverse. In the field, in seven lines: S. A. R. / MONSEIGNEUR / THE DUKE OF BORDEAUX / VISITS THE MINT / OF PARIS / ON 24 DECEMBER / 1828; below, signature N. Tiolier. G.647c - Maz.902a - VG.2659 - BC.155 - Théret/Taillard 3704.4; Bronze - 23.82 g - 37 mm - 12 h Top Pop (2): this is the finest graded specimen! PCGS SP63BN (58337038). Special Strike (SP). Engraved edge: DOMINE SALVUM FAC REGEM. With traces of the original red colour around the raised areas. Superb in mint condition.
