FRANCE - FRANCE Charles X (1824–1830). 5-franc set, depicting the King and Queen of the Two Sicilies’ visit to the Paris Mint, by Tiolier, Special Strike (SP) 1830, Paris. Obverse: FRANÇOIS I – MARIE ISABELLE. Oval écus joined beneath a closed crown, between a laurel branch and a lily branch. Reverse: In the field, in seven lines: LL. MM. / THE KING AND QUEEN / OF THE TWO SICILIES / VISIT THE PARIS / MINT / ON 11 JUNE / 1830; and below, a small cursive ‘T’. G.648b – Maz.901 – VG.2684 - Théret/Taillard 3705.a.2; Silver – 24.79 g – 37 mm – 6 h This is the second-highest grade (2)! PCGS SP62 (58337039). Special strike (SP) with a raised edge featuring three bands: (lily) DOMINE / SALVUM FAC / REGEM (lily) (lily). With a lovely grey patina. Superb in proof condition.
