Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇOISE / (variant) L’AN (date) (variant). Within a wreath formed of two oak branches: SIX LIVRES. and (mint mark).
Reverse: REGNE DE LA LOI. The Genius of France engraving the word CONSTITUTION (in two lines) on a tablet of the law resting on an altar, flanked by a fasces on the left and a cockerel on the right. Cursive signature ‘DUPRÉ’ engraved on the base of the altar; in the exergue (date).
