Convention (1792–1795). Trial coin featuring a triangle by Brézin, Special Strike (SP) 1792 – Year I, Paris.
Obverse: * LIBERTY – EQUALITY *. Within a wreath formed of two oak branches, a triangle surmounted by a Phrygian cap; in the exergue: THE FIRST YEAR OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC.
Reverse: DESIGNED BY BREZIN IN PARIS * (date) *. Centred in four lines: COIN/ MINTED BY/ THE METHOD OF/ THE VIROLLE.

Special Strike (SP) on a silver blank, smooth edge. The fields are slightly oxidised, with a light patina. Extremely rare in silver. Superb.
