Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Bust of the Republic facing left, wearing a cap of liberty; below, Dupré’s cursive signature.
Reverse: Within a wreath formed of two oak branches: CINQ CENTIMES. L’AN (date). (variant) (mint) (variant).

Top Pop: this is the only specimen graded SP by PCGS! From the Richard Margolis collection, acquired from Alain Weil in Paris on 15 October 1984.

Special Strike (SP) on a well-preserved blank, with a perfect strike! The relief is sharp and well-defined, with all the details present on the obverse and reverse. The patina is a shiny brown, with traces of the original red colour on the reverse. Minimal mark on the neck. Uncirculated.
