Obverse: NAPOLEON EMPEREUR. Bare head facing right, with the cursive signature ‘Tiolier’ below.
Reverse: RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Within a wreath formed of two branches: 2 FRANCS, below (variant) AN (date) and (mint).
