Obverse: NAPOLEON EMPEREUR. Bare head facing right, with the cursive signature ‘Tiolier’ below.
Reverse: RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Within a wreath formed of two branches: DEMI FRANC, with (in a different typeface) AN (date) and (mint).
