First Empire / Napoleon I (1804–1814). Quarter franc, Revolutionary Calendar Year 14 (1805–1806), L, Bayonne.
Obverse: NAPOLEON EMPEREUR. Bare head facing right, with the cursive signature ‘Tiolier’ below.
Rev. REP. FRA. Within a wreath formed of two branches: QUART, with (in a different style) AN (date) and (mint) below.

Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! From the R. Margolis collection, acquired from William Applegate on 28 April 1983 and previously sold by tender at Galerie Numismatique Drouot, 1980, lot no. 462.
PCGS VF35 (50569134).
Only 1,757 examples were struck and this is the only one graded by PCGS! A few scratches but with even wear, and a grey patina. Very Fine to Very Good.
