First Empire / Napoleon I (1804–1814). 100-franc gold trial coin, struck in silver, by Vassallo, Special Strike (SP) 1807, Genoa.
Obverse: NAPOLEON EMPEREUR. Naked bust, three-quarter view facing right; signature H. VAS. F and below (date).
Reverse: EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Crowned eagle with outstretched wings to the left, perched on a thunderbolt, head to the right; below, 100 FRANCS.
