First Empire / Napoleon I (1804–1814). 10 centimes, Antwerp mint mark, 2nd type (10 spread), 1814 issue with a smooth edge, Antwerp (Arsenal mint).
Obverse: ANVERS. Large ‘N’ within a crown formed of two branches, with a wide ribbon inscribed JEAN – LOUIS – GAGNEPAIN. Below, (date).
Reverse: MONNAIE OBSIDIONALE. In the centre: 10 CENT.

Coin strike, with an unfinished edge, die-cut. Struck on a wide blank, particularly neat and of fine style. Minimal marks on the mouldings. With a brown patina. Superb in mint condition.
