First Empire / Napoleon I (1804–1814). Gold medallion or quinaire, Coronation of Napoleon I in Paris, Year XIII (1804), Paris.
Obverse: NAPOLEON – EMPEROR. Laureate head of Napoleon I facing right.
Reverse: THE SENATE – AND THE PEOPLE. Napoleon standing on a shield, in coronation robes, holding a sceptre, supported on one side by a senator bearing the Tablets of the Law and on the other by a soldier carrying a plough; in the exergue: AN XIII.
