First Empire / Napoleon I (1804–1814). Small gold medal or quinaire, the coronation of Napoleon I, by Denon and Jeuffroy, Year XIII (1804), Paris.
Obverse: NAPOLEON – EMPEROR. Laureate head of Napoleon I facing right; below, the signatures DEN. and JEUFF.
Reverse: THE SENATE – AND THE PEOPLE. Napoleon standing on a shield, in coronation robes, holding a sceptre, supported on one side by a senator bearing the Tablets of the Law and on the other by a soldier carrying a plough; in the exergue: AN XIII between the signatures D and J.
