Obverse: ELBA. A capital ‘N’ beneath a star, guilloché field.
Reverse: Date within a circle, guilloché field.

With a high fineness of 96 per cent, this token is made of silver. The edge is smooth. Attractive grey patina. Very rare. Superb.
For the Principality of Elba, granted to Napoleon following his first abdication. Under his rule, this principality lasted from April 1814 to February 1815, specifically from 14 April 1814 (Treaty of Fontainebleau) and Napoleon’s arrival on 4 May 1814, to 26 February 1815, when Napoleon departed to reclaim his throne and the Hundred Days began
