Obverse: CHARLES X – KING OF FRANCE. Bare head facing right, with the cursive signature ‘T’ below.
Reverse: Within a wreath formed of two branches, a crowned shield flanked by 10 – FR and (variant) – (mint); ESSAI beneath the shield.
