Obverse: RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Winged Genie of the Republic standing facing right, holding a stylus on a table, flanked by a fasce on the left and a cockerel on the right; in the exergue: signature Dupré.
Rev. LIBERTY, EQUALITY, FRATERNITY. Within an oak wreath: 20 FRANCS (date) in the centre, below (variant) (mint) (variant).

With a slight velvety matt finish, barely worn. A fine scratch on the altar and minor bag marks. This specimen has seen virtually no circulation and has an almost burnished blank appearance. Superb in mint condition.
