Obverse: NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR. Bare head facing right, with ‘différent’ below and the signature ‘BARRE’.
Rev. EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Imperial coat of arms resting on a crowned mantle and crossing the sceptre and the hand of justice, flanked by ‘50 – FR’; below (mint) (date) (variant).
