Obverse (variant) NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR (variant). Bare head facing left, with ‘BARRE’ below.
Reverse: EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Within a closed wreath of two branches: ‘50 CENT.’ and (date), with the mint mark in the exergue.

Beautifully struck with satin-finish relief on mirror-like fields. Slight hairline scratches on the fields. An antique patina covers both sides. Superb, in mint condition.
