Obverse: NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR / (variant) (date) (variant). Bare head facing left, with the signature ‘BARRE’ below.
Rev. EMPIRE FRANÇAIS / * DEUX CENTIMES *. Eagle with outspread wings, head to the right, on a thunderbolt; below (mint mark).
