FRANCE - FRANCE Second Empire / Napoleon III (1852–1870). Proof of the two-centime bare-headed coin on a pewter blank, 1853, B, Rouen. Obverse: NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR / (variant) (date) (variant). Bare head facing left, with the signature ‘BARRE’ below. Rev. EMPIRE FRANÇAIS / * DEUX CENTIMES *. Eagle with outspread wings, head to the right, on a thunderbolt; below (mint mark). G.152 (missing) - Maz.1715c - VG.- (cf. 3359, nickel silver); Tin - 20 mm - 6 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! With an old collector’s label. NGC MS 64 (6979009-011). Struck on a non-magnetic tin blank. Slight metal loss on the bust. Close to mint condition.
