FRANCE - FRANCE Second Empire / Napoleon III (1852–1870). 100 francs, laureate head, 1869, A, Paris. Obverse: NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR. Laureate head facing right, with ‘différent’ below and the signature ‘BARRE’. Rev. EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Imperial coat of arms resting on a crowned mantling and surmounting the sceptre and the hand of justice, flanked by 100 - FRs; below (mint mark) (date) (variant). G.1136 – F.551 – Fr.580; Gold – 32.17 g – 35 mm – 6 h NGC AU 58 (8769668-008). With light circulation marks and minimal flattening on the high reliefs. Golden patina. Superb.
