Obverse: NAPOLEON III – EMPEROR. Laurel-wreathed head facing right, with ‘différent’ below and the signature ‘BARRE’.
Rev. EMPIRE – FRANÇAIS. Imperial coat of arms resting on a crowned mantling and overhanging the sceptre and the hand of justice, flanked by 100 – FRs; below (mint mark) (date) (variant).
