Second Empire / Napoleon III (1852–1870). Set of two medals, unveiling of the equestrian statue of Napoleon I in Rouen, by A. Dubois, 1865, Paris.
Obverse: NAPOLEON III – EMPEROR. Laureate head of Napoleon III facing left, signed ALPHÉE DUBOIS.
Reverse: TO NAPOLEON I, THE CITY OF ROUEN – AND THE DEPARTMENT OF THE SEINE-INFRE. Equestrian statue of Napoleon I on the left; below: 14 AUGUST 1865, ALPHÉE DUBOIS SC., L. DESMAREST ARCHIT., VITAL DUBRAY STAT.
