Obverse: RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. The winged Spirit of the Republic standing facing right, engraving the word CONSTITUTION on a tablet, flanked by a fasces on the left and a cockerel on the right; in the exergue: the signatures A.B. and Dupré.
Reverse: LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ. Within an oak wreath: 100 FRANCS (date); below (variant) (mint) (variant).

Variant featuring Jean-Auguste Barre’s crossed anchor. Beautifully brilliant, with a delicate golden patina. Only minimal circulation marks on the fields and a slight flattening on the Genius’s headband. Superb in mint condition.
