Reverse: THE FIRE. A miner caught in a firedamp explosion in a mine tunnel; signed H. GREBER.

On the edge: hallmarks (horn) 1ARGENT (lizard) and number 29. Only 69 examples were struck in silver and distributed to members of the Société des Amis de la Médaille Française.
In a later case. A chip on the rim at 6 o’clock on the reverse; otherwise Superb, nearly mint.
