Obverse: A monkey seated on the left, gazing at an ushabti; signed JOUVE.
Reverse: A group of monkeys on a branch; signed J.
Maier 37; Bronze – 86 g – 53 mm – 12 h
From the collection of Nicolas Maier. On the edge, hallmarks (horn) BRONZE (lizard) and number 172. Only 117 copies were struck in bronze and distributed to members of the Société des Amis de la Médaille Française.
With a matt brown patina. Superb, in mint condition.
