Obverse: CENTENARY. OF THE BANK. OF FRANCE. 1800–1900. The Republic, clad in armour and wearing a helmet, facing left; below, the signature O. ROTY.
Reverse: CONFIDENCE AND LABOUR. Two women, representing Confidence and Labour, on the left, facing a flowing river.

In a brown imitation leather case with gold edging. Attributed on the reverse to HENRI TERNYNCK.
