Third Republic (1870–1940). 5-centime Daniel-Dupuis silver trial coin, 1908, Paris.
Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Bust of the Republic facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap and holding an olive branch; signed DANIEL-DUPUIS.
Reverse (variant): LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE (variant). The Republic facing left, with a child; below, the date; signed DANIEL-DUPUIS. To the right, a cartouche inscribed with ‘5 C’ and ‘ESSAI’.
