French State (1940–1944). Lindauer 10-centime piéfort (uncirculated), date with dots 1941, Paris.
Obverse: ‘RF’ around the central hole, surmounted by a Phrygian cap, all within a wreath formed of two branches; signature ‘EM. LINDAUER’.
Reverse: LIBERTE. EGALITE. FRATERNITE. Central hole flanked by two olive branches and 10 - CMES; below, ·(date)· and the (various) on either side.

Without the word ‘ESSAI’ but struck as a medal, just like proof strikes! Slight oxidation spots and a light grey patina on the fields. Superb in mint condition.
