Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Head of the Republic facing left, wearing a laurel wreath and a cockade; behind, the signature GEORGES GUIRAUD.
Reverse: LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE. Rooster facing right, above a laurel branch and the inscription: 20 FRANCS (variant) (date) (variant).
