Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. The Sower on the left, with the rising sun, walking and sowing against the wind; below: D’APRÈS O. ROTY.
Reverse: LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE. 2 FRANCS above an olive branch and an oak branch; at the bottom (date).

Unprecedented for this year of issue and probably a pre-series to the definitive design, with only the ‘différents’ missing (D’APRÈS O. ROTY is present, unlike GEM.123.14 from 1977). Only minimal hairline scratches in the fields. Unlisted and extremely rare. Superb in mint condition.
