GREAT BRITAIN
Mercia (Kingdom of), Offa (757–796). Denier, light-weight coinage in the name of EOBA ND (780–793), Canterbury.
Obverse In a central field: an ‘O’ in a lozenge shape, dotted beneath a tilde, and the linked letters ‘F’ and ‘T’. Flanked by two croziers, with ‘+’ at the top and ‘RXm’ at the bottom.
Reverse: a four-petalled fleur-de-lis with a small cross within the central circle, and the letters ‘E’, ‘O’, ‘B’ and ‘A’ within the petals.
