GREAT BRITAIN Harold, known as Harold Harefoot (1035–1040). A denier of the ‘jewel cross’ type, minted in the name of the mint master Arncil ND, York. Obverse (at 12 o’clock) + HARO - LD R·EX. Laureate bust, clad in armour and draped, facing left. Reverse + ARNCIL ON EOFER. Jewel cross. S.1163 – Bruun 1085 – SCBI Cop.70 = this specimen!; Silver – 1.02 g – 18 mm – 1 h From the L. E. Bruun collection, no. 1085. NGC MS 62 (8223339-035). The blank is slightly clouded, with minimal marks. Very attractive anthracite patina with bluish highlights. Superb in mint condition.
