The king standing in a ship’s hold with the shield and holding his sword aloft; a small crescent on the rudder. Rev. + IH’C: AVTEM: TRANSIENS: PER: MEDIVM: ILLORV: IBA. A leafed and fleur-de-lis cross bearing in its centre an angled quatrefoil containing an ‘H’ and flanked by four crowned leopards, the whole within an octolobe flanked by eight shamrocks. S.1706 - Fr.103; Gold - 7.73 g - 34 mm - 9 h NGC ALTERED SURFACE (8772187-034). A tiny notch at 6 o’clock on the blank. Previously cleaned, giving it a uniform appearance.
