Saint Michael standing on the right, piercing the dragon with his lance. Reverse (variant) PERx CRVCE’x TVA’x SALVAx NOSx XPE’x REDE’. A quartered shield of France and England on a ship’s hull; a cross on the mast, flanked by an ‘H’ and a rose. S.2265 (108) - Fr.155; Gold - 5 g - 28.5 mm - 6 h PCGS MS62 (60810768). With a ‘crowned portcullis’ as a distinguishing mark. Well-centred and beautifully struck. The patina is golden, slightly matt. Superb.
