BRITISH INDIES William IV (1830–1837). Mohur, burnished blank (PROOF), re-struck with an 1841 die (mule) 1835 [1841], Bombay. Obverse: WILLIAM - IIII, KING. Head of the King facing right; below (date). Reverse: EAST INDIA COMPANY. Lion passing to the left in front of a palm tree; in the exergue ONE MOHUR, and in Persian. S&W.1.16 - Prid.17 restrike - KM.451.1 - Fr.1593b; Gold - 26 mm - 12 h NGC PF 62 (8588832-004). Burnished proof (PROOF) blank. No initial on the neck nor full stop after the date (type C), for the Bombay mint. Later restrike with fluted edge: the reverse used is that of Victoria from 1841 (Mule 1835–1841).
