Obverse: On an entablature, a lioness advancing to the left. In the cartouche on the entablature: N. I. R. A. / 1863–86; signature PINCHES LONDON.
Reverse. Within a wreath formed of two laurel branches, a cartouche. Above: ARMY RIFLE; inside the cartouche: B. P. R. A. / 1887–1921; beneath the cartouche: ASSOCIATION / INDIA.
