Ahmad Shah Qajar (1909–1925). 1/2 toman gilt-bronze trial coin, burnished blank (PROOF) AH 1331 (1912), Tehran.
Obverse: Three-quarter profile bust facing left, flanked by the (date).
Reverse: Within a wreath formed of an oak branch and a laurel branch, central inscriptions; at the exergue (mint).
KM.-; Gilded bronze – 17 mm – 6 h
Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! From the Kian collection, Sincona Auction 49, October 2018, lot 286, and previously purchased from S. Cordry in San Diego in 1982.
NGC PF 64 CAMEO (4787044-036).
Burnished (PROOF) blank with cameo effect (CAMEO), with a mirror-finish field and satin-finish relief. Golden-green patina. Very rare. Superb in Proof condition.
