Description
MOROCCO Mohammed V (1927–1961). 100 francs AH 1370 (1951), Paris. Obverse: Arabic inscriptions. In the centre, a five-pointed star flanked by fleurons; below, (date). Reverse: MAROC. In the centre, 100 / FRANCS between two fleurons; signed J. HAINAUT. Cat. 285; Silver – 2.5 g – 18 mm – 6 h NGC MS 63 (8769662-032). This issue, of which 10 million were struck, was remelted before being put into circulation. The standard issue appears to be rarer than the proof version, of which 1,100 were struck. Superb in Proof condition.
