Head of the Republic facing left wearing the cap of Liberty; behind, the signature R. JOLY; and below, the date. Reverse: NEW CALEDONIA / NEW HEBRIDES or FRENCH POLYNESIA. The design and the (denomination); sometimes the signature ‘AG’ at the bottom and (various) in the field. Cat. 83, 26 and 65 (2 examples), Cat. 101, 39 and 86 (2 examples), Cat. 117 and 108 (2 examples), Cat. 57 (2 examples); Silver – 13.7 g, 23 g, 34.2 g and 50.5 g – 23.5 mm, 28.5 mm, 32.5 mm and 37 mm – 6 h In the original havana leather case. With a certificate of guarantee detailing the characteristics of the specimens, bearing the note: “A complete double series of these blanks was also struck in silver and presented as a tribute to Mr Jacques [Name crossed out]”. Accompanied by a card reading “On behalf of and with the compliments of the Director of the Monnaie de Paris”.
