PERU Ferdinand VI (1746–1759). 8 escudos, 1757 JM, Lima. Obverse: FERDI[NA]D. VI. D. G. HISPAN. ET IND. REX. Armoured bust facing right, wearing the Golden Fleece, with a large wig; below (date). Rev. NOMINA MAGNA SEQUOR. A crowned shield surrounded by the collar of the Golden Fleece; below, *(mint)* and *(assayer)*. Aureo & Calicó 772 (type 128) – Fr.20; Gold – 27.01 g – 37 mm – 12 h With a slipcase from Antonio L. Y Lopez Revillas in Madrid, no. 529. NGC AU DETAILS REV SPOT REMOVED (8769661-034). Small circulation marks have caused some browning on the fields, but the original lustre is still present in the inscriptions. Wear is moderate on the high reliefs. Superb.
