A crowned double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, holding a sceptre and a globe surmounted by a cross; below, the date. Bitkin H188 – Diakov N p.127 – Severin 235; Silver – 43 mm – 12 h From the Gustav Klingert collection in Moscow, Adolph Hess auction, 30 May 1910, lot 115, then CNG auction, Triton XII, 6 January 2009, lot 1055. NGC MS 63 (3152820-003). ‘Novodel’ strike with a smooth edge. Close to its mint condition, with the relief slightly darkened on the obverse and a lovely patina with golden highlights.
