VIETNAM Annam, Tu Duc (1848–1883). 5 tiên ND (1848–1883). Obverse: ‘Tu Duc Thông Bao’ in Chinese characters. In the centre, a blazing sun. Reverse: Long Văn khê hôi (dragon sapèque). A dragon facing forwards connected to clouds; to the right and left, the two characters Long and Văn; at the top and bottom, the two characters khê and hôi. Schr.374.1 - KM.460; Silver - 18.79 g - 47 mm - 12 h NGC UNC DETAILS - CLEANED (2186813-001). The same design exists in gold (MDC 13 no. 2607). On a wide blank, with barely any cracking beneath the strike. The fields are slightly corroded and barely scuffed. With a grey patina. Almost Superb.
