Description
A choker necklace comprising five rows of barrel-shaped coral beads measuring approx. 6 x 7 mm. in diameter, adorned with a three-part filigree clasp in 14k (585) yellow and rose gold featuring a leaf motif set with coral cabochons. No hallmark. Made in Zeeland (Walcheren) in the late 19th century. This type of necklace is known as a ‘Zeug’; they were worn by women of all ages as part of a traditional costume.
