Medal in silver 950 thousandths, on the obverse a female personification of the city of Nancy supporting the coat of arms of the city, marked "Non inultus premor" (literally "You can't seize me without hurting yourself", the origin of the expression "qui s'y frote s'y pique"), following the battle of Nancy in 1477.
On the reverse, a lover holding a fire pot in front of the façade of the Hotel de ville on Place Stanislas.
