Pierre FRANCOIS (1935–2007) – “Du sang à la une”, 1991/1992 – Mixed media on wood (with soldier figurines), monogrammed and dated on the reverse – 93 x 83 cm Pierre François was a painter from Sète with an unrestrained pictorial style who exerted a major influence on the Figuration Libre movement. Several of his works are on display at the Paul-Valéry Museum in Sète.
