SEVRES MANUFACTORY, Louis XVI period. One-litre cup and saucer in porcelain, decorated with a border of roses, cornflowers and forget-me-nots on a mauve background with gilded highlights. Dated 1784, painter and decorator Etienne-Jean Chabry, known as Chabry fils (1749–1787), who worked at the manufactory between 1765 and 1787. Blue enamelled mark of the manufactory, date letter ‘GG’ and the painter-decorator’s monogram ‘ch’. H: 7 cm Below (a chip on the reverse of the saucer’s rim)
