GIEN. 55-piece earthenware tableware set. The ‘Rambouillet’ design, created in 1952 by Jean Bertholle for President René Coty, who had grown weary of presidential hunting trips. It comprises 12 dinner plates (Ø 26), an oval ‘Chevreuil’ serving dish, a round ‘Sanglier’ serving dish, a deep round ‘Fusil’ serving dish, a round ‘Stag’, a sauce boat, a vegetable dish, a ‘Duck’ serving dish, 2 ‘Woodcock’ ramekins, a small rectangular ‘Duck’ dish, 12 dessert plates (Ø 22.5), 12 cups and saucers, a coffee pot, a sugar bowl, a milk jug, 3 ‘Perdrix et canard’ ashtrays, 3 rare earthenware proofs ‘Canard, perdrix et lièvre’ (H.13). In perfect condition.
