Lill TSCHUDI (1911–2004) Presumed portrait of Jack TREVOR (1893–1976) Linocut depicting a gentleman in bust form. Signed by the artist in the top right-hand corner and numbered 2/50. The subject may be Jack Trevor, a British actor who enjoyed a particularly successful career in German cinema in the 1920s, and who had previously inspired Lill Tschudi to create the portrait for the film *Der Held von Shangai*. A photograph of the actor is enclosed. Provenance: Jack Trevor’s personal archives; subsequently passed down through inheritance and bequests to the current owners.
